Privacy Policy

Members and subscribers determine how visible they are to other members of the community when they choose the visibility settings for their profiles. SoL staff members may make administrative updates to profile information about users, from time to time, but will not increase visibility beyond the option selected. SoL will use personal information for administrative purposes (for example, to organize events and to communicate with the community). We will not sell or otherwise release your information to outside parties. Users are members of SoL, subscribers to SoL services (e.g. "Connections"), and members of the public who have registered and confirmed a valid email address. Users may not sell or otherwise release information about other users. Where e-mail addresses are visible, these are for private use only and may not be sold or used in any way for bulk mailings, untargeted promotional campaigns, SPAM, and the like.

Warranties

This is a community site and the information here is provided with no warranty. Although SoL administrative staff may review user contributions periodically, our primary concern is whether the user contribution is relevant to our field. The staff makes no effort to judge whether any user contribution is correct, valid, or useful in any context; caveat reader.
